Sewing & Fashion Design Training Program

Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC) is pleased to announce the start of our popular Sewing & Fashion Design Training Program. The course will be held IN-PERSON and will offer practical hands on experiences.  Due to increased community demand, the program is now FREE but there are limited spaces.

 

Upgrade your sewing and fashion designing skills or learn the practical skills you need in just 10 weeks. Hands-on/In-person activities will include:

  • Orientation and Skills Development Training (marker making, sample cutting, free hand cutting, dress making, spec sheet identification, pattern- making, fashion and styles, skills transfer and blending)
  • Fashion Design (Learn how to design blouses, dresses and children’s wear). Hands on Practice!
  • Information on the Canadian Fashion Industry, trend and styles, job market & much more!!!

Certificates are provided to those who complete the course successfully.

 

Schedule of classes will be:

 

Intermediate/Advanced Level: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Basic Level: 01:30 PM to 3:30 PM

Classes will take place every Tuesdays  and Thursdays starting April 25th, 2023 at 400 McCowan Road (Ground Floor) Scarborough, M1J 1J5
